Your position and role at Powell UMC; What are you passionate about?I am an Assistant Pastor. I am passionate about leading God’s people on their spiritual journey, connecting them to the places of serving, and caring for them in the midst of dark times. 

What is the favorite part of your job? The favorite part of my job is to see how people grow in their faith, how they feel touched by God and the way they are connecting and being part of the body of Christ.

Family: My husband’s name is Josh. We have been married since 2015, He is a Minister of Music and a great organist at Holy Trinity Luthern Church. We have two dogs, Bella and Frederik. My parents, my brother and his family live in Russia.

Where are you from? I was born in Samara, Russia. When I was 22 I came to New York City. In a few years I heard God’s call to ministry and came to Delaware, OH. Josh and I live in Upper Arlington.

Ministry background, degrees, credentials: I have a degree in Linguistics and International Communications from Samara State Academy of Culture and Arts, Russia and a Master’s of Divinity degree from Methodist Theological School in Ohio. I am a provisional elder in the West Ohio Conference of the United Methodist Church. 

What are your hobbies? I love travelling with my husband, swimming, and reading.

Your favorite quote or verse from the Bible: One of my favorite Bible verses is Isaiah 43:1b,2, “Do not fear, I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you.”

What has God been teaching you lately? God is teaching me to stop and listen to the Holy Spirit and be attentive to how the Spirit is moving in my life and in the midst of our congregation.
