 Your position and role at Powell UMC? What are you passionate about? Pastor of Congregational Care. My grandkids, TMG (Tuesday Morning Group), Sci-Fi & Mystery Novels.
 

What is the favorite part of your job? The TMG, visiting our senior members, being in relationship with the best church staff around!

Family: I have a daughter Jenn, son-in-law Pete, and two grandsons Cohl & Mason who live in Washington.

Where are you from? I was born at Grant Hospital and grew up in a suburb of Columbus, Minerva Park.

Ministry background, degrees, credentials: BA from Otterbein College (’66), MDiv from United Theological Seminary (’69) in Dayton, OH; ordained Elder in the West OH Conference (’69), retired in 2003, joined PUMC staff in 2005.

What are your hobbies? Reading science-fiction, mysteries, science and theology. Genealogy and writing.  Keeping track of my distant family.  Walking and trying to stay ahead of my daughter.

Your favorite quote or verse from the Bible: John 14:18, “I will not abandon you”

What has God been teaching you lately? That the Bible is not an answer book, but rather one that encourages us to wrestle with life’s difficult questions.
