Your position and role at Powell UMC; what are you passionate about? Nursery Coordinator. I am passionate about helping others and providing a service that can benefit those who will receive it. I am a social worker and coordinator by profession and love to make sure that my work as a coordinator for our nursery will help others to better themselves spiritually. Providing a loving and safe child care for our families is very important to me so that our members with young children can worship and have the opportunity to engage in small groups care free.

What is the favorite part of your job? My favorite part of my job is delivering the need for childcare making sure that the flexible and ever changing hours of our church activities are covered when child care is needed.

Family: I am married with two children, my son Aiden and my daughter Lydia.

Where are you from? Lewis Center

Ministry background, degrees: I grew up as a Methodist Pastor’s daughter in the west Ohio conference. I have a masters degree in Social Work and currently a Service Coordinator with Franklin County Board of Developmental Disabilities. I have worked with children and their families for many years through the Buckeye Ranch as a Mental Health counselor and have recently began work with Franklin County Board.

What are your hobbies? I enjoy spending time with my family and friends and enjoy being a mom.

Your favorite quote or verse from the Bible. Hebrews 10:36 “You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised.”

What has God been teaching you lately? God is teaching me to be patient and have faith that all things happen for a reason so that I may be stronger in the face of adversity and be proud of my accomplishments.
