HABITAT FOR HUMANITY WALL BUILD

Habitat for Humanity Wall Build will happen this year on Friday and Saturday, Aug. 25 and 26. This is a mission project that brings the community together to build the walls for a home for a deserving family. We are ready to be fully engaged in this hands-on mission and people of all ages are invited to participate. There are many serving jobs for a variety of age and experience levels. See the description of each job, the date and time, and a sign up for each serving job below.
Wall Build Day, Saturday, Aug. 26, 8:30am-12noon
Requirements: Willingness to follow instructions, bend, carry and hammer. No previous experience needed. No age restrictions. Children should be accompanied by an adult.
Cut Session Servants, Friday, Aug 25, 5pm-7pm
Cut Team
Requirements: Comfortable operating a power saw, measuring and cutting accurate measurements within 1/16.
Label Team
Requirements: Ability to label the cut lumber with a marker.
Carry Team
Requirements: Ability to carry the cut and labeled lumber to the area designated.
Construction Leaders, Saturday, Aug 26, 8:30am-12noon
Requirements: Framing experience helpful. Must be 21 years of age or over.
Ability to be trained by CrossRoads staff at the end of Friday’s cut session on Friday, Aug 25.
Snack and Sustenance Servants, Friday, Aug 25, 5pm-7pm
Requirements: Willingness to work in the kitchen, prepare snacks, water, and carry them outside to the crew. No age restrictions.
Snack and Sustenance Servants, Saturday, Aug 26, 7:30am-12noon
Requirements: Willingness to work in the kitchen, prepare snacks, water, and carry them outside to the crew. No age restrictions.
Unload the Walls at the Home Site, Aug 26, 12:30pm
Requirements: ability to carry and load the walls on a truck.
