“Do not worry about anything…And the peace of God which surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Jesus Christ.” Phil. 4:6-7 (NRSV)
We know that each one of us, including the extended circles of those we love, is feeling the impact of this challenge. Even as we follow the guidance to distance ourselves physically, we feel how our spiritual connection remains strong. I am thankful for this, as well as deeply grateful for your patience, prayer and care of each other and us. We are the church, and the truth of the gospel is no more powerful than it is right now, that there is nothing that can “separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 8: 39)
With our church building closed and all programming suspended, your church staff is working remotely. We are busy connecting with many of you and producing opportunities for online learning, prayer, and mission. We are being creative and intentional in creating ways for us to stay connected, and renewed to our call to share the love of Christ with everyone. Our building staff continues to work in the building, as they work individually so as not to compromise their health. They are tackling some deferred cleaning projects and catching up on things that are difficult to do with people in our building. So, we are adapting and using the time in the best way possible. Again, thank you for your support as we shift our options and our priorities.
